Patagonia is a huge geographical region located in the southern part of the South American continent. The borders are not defined precisely, but for the Argentinian side the northern limit is considered to be the Rio Colorado, while in the Chilean side the northern limit is the Maule Region. Being such a huge region, the variety of climate zones and ecosystems that can be found there is huge and very diverse.
Between November 2021 and February 2022 I was able to travel through Patagonia, driving a small van which also served as my house. Every morning I could wake up to a different landscape.
Here I want to talk you on a trip, share with you the beauty and the diversity of this geographical region. I experienced snow storms in summer on Tierra del Fuego, could bath in ice cold waters in the Lago Bayo in Chile and define my own path hiking on nameless mountains on the Andes along the Route 41 in Argentina.
One meets few people and little sign of humanity on the roads of Patagonia, so that every human encounter is special. But, maybe exactly thanks to the lack of human activity, the Patagonian landscapes offer a great consolation to the solitude, coming from beauty, fairness and the intrinsic justice of Nature.
